Got Faith?

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

Psalm 27

What or who takes away my peace and unsettles my soul and roils my thoughts?

Why?

And why should it not?

“One thing have I desired of the Lord” (Psalm 27:4) — Only one? Is that enough for me?

What sacrifices of joy do I have for the Lord in the middle of these circumstances?

Should I spend more time crying out to God and less time “figuring it out on my own”?

How have I gone about seeking God’s face? How is that done?

Why do I want to know God’s way? Are there better reasons and motivations?

“Wait on the Lord” (Psalm 27:14) — What’s that and how’s it done?

“Be of good courage” (Psalm 27:14) — In this situation?! How, how, how??!!

Psalm 27 is mine. It really fits me right now. It’s the cry of my heart. Now…how soon will I forget it?

Show Us, O God!

Let thy work appear unto thy servants, and thy glory unto their children.

Psalm 90:16

Psalm 90

Is it troubling to me that my secret sins are exposed to the light of God’s face?

How (and how often) do I number my days…and for what purpose?

“O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days” (Psalm 90:14).

What place does God’s mercy have in my personal satisfaction?

Why might God want His beauty upon me?

[The Scriptures say in Psalm 90:17 -- Let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us]
