Well, for my last post here of 2010, some resolutions “borrowed” from the first four verses of Psalm 119.

I resolve to…

  • “walk in the law of the Lord.”
  • “keep his testimonies.”
  • “seek him with the whole heart.”
  • “do no iniquity.”
  • “walk in his ways.”

What about you?

As he loved cursing,
so let it come unto him:
as he delighted not in blessing,
so let it be far from him.

Psalm 109:17

I don’t curse, so the first part of that verse slid by me this morning, almost unnoticed.

But the second part…. Ah, me! I must become a better blesser.

Now for a few more excerpts from Psalm 109:

But do thou for me,
O God the Lord,
for thy name’s sake:
because thy mercy is good,
deliver thou me.

For I am poor and needy….

I am gone like the shadow….

My knees are weak…
and my flesh faileth….

I became also a reproach….

I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth;
yea, I will praise him among the multitude.

For he shall stand
at the right hand of the poor,
to save him from….
