Is the White Horse House Ready?

Look, I know it’s bedtime.

But hey, there’s a Pennsylvania Democrat on the loose! 😯

Obama ‘admits’ Kenyan birth?

Pennsylvania Democrat Philip J. Berg, who filed a lawsuit demanding Sen. Barack Obama present proof of his American citizenship, now says that by failing to respond Obama has legally “admitted” to the lawsuit’s accusations, including the charge that the Democratic candidate was born in Mombosa, Kenya.

As WND reported, Berg filed suit in U.S. District Court in August, alleging Obama is not a natural-born citizen and is thus ineligible to serve as president of the United States. Though Obama has posted an image of a Hawaii birth certificate online, Berg demands that the court verify the original document, which the Obama campaign has not provided.

Now Berg cites Rule 36 of the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, which states that unless the accused party provides written answer or objection to charges within 30 days, the accused legally admits the matter.

Since Obama has only filed motions to dismiss and has not actually answered the charges in the lawsuit, Berg claims, according to Rule 36, Obama has legally admitted he is not a natural-born citizen.

Now Berg is asking the court for a formal declaration of Obama’s admission and asking the Democratic National Committee for another presidential candidate.

Is this where Hillary comes riding in on her white horse, headed for the White House? πŸ™„

But never mind that. Since it’s bedtime, how about someone’s “dream”?

Long National Nightmare

Last night, I woke up in a sweat. I’d had a very bizarre dream . . .

NOVEMBER 5 — There was Wilson over Hughes. And, of course, Truman over Dewey. But there’s never been a surprise in presidential politics like the one that awaited Americans this morning, who woke up to discover that, somehow, John McCain had been elected president over Barack Obama.

[…]

Obama conceded around noon today, promising that, though the revolution he promised had been temporarily derailed, “we are the future.” Right now, however, the immediate future belongs to John McCain.

Whoa, that was scary! Note to self: never listen to Limbaugh before bed time . . .

So there you are.

While I Waited

Here I sit, waiting for my slow (31.2 KB) dial-up connection to muddle its way through Amazon’s Pro Seller (or whatever it’s called by now) site.

So I looked at headlines at Drudge and Newsmax.

Do five simple things a day to stay sane, say scientists

Simple activities such as gardening or mending a bicycle can protect mental health and help people to lead more fulfilled and productive lives, a panel of scientists has found.

[…]

β€œA big question in mental wellbeing is what individuals can do,” Felicia Huppert, Professor of Psychology at the University of Cambridge, who led part of the project, said. β€œWe found there are five categories of things that can make a profound difference to people’s wellbeing. Each has evidence behind it.” These actions are so simple that everyone should aim to do them daily, she said, just as they are encouraged to eat five portions of fruit and vegetables.

Five steps to sanity. That shouldn’t be too hard.

Palin: Election Result Rests ‘In God’s Hands’

Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin describes herself as a “hard-core pro-lifer” and expresses confidence that in spite of disheartening polls, “putting this in God’s hands, that the right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4.”

She is right.

Do I Remember?

Either I’m sure I remember or I’m not sure I actually remember.

  1. John McCain said he would veto earmarked, pork-barrel bills.
  2. John McCain recently voted for the earmarked $700 billion bailout bill.
  3. Barack Obama said he wouldn’t do something or other regarding financing for his Presidential campaign.
  4. Barack Obama did indeed do that something or other.
  5. Barack Obama flunked “tests” that Dan Quayle was hounded and mocked about.
  6. Bob Dole resigned from the Senate to run for President.
  7. Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, John McCain, and Joe Biden didn’t resign from the Senate though they ran (or are yet running) for President or VP.
  8. Hillary said repeatedly she wouldn’t run for President.
  9. The media was very supportive of John McCain during the primary season.
  10. Joe Biden declared Obama someone who shouldn’t get on-the-job training in the Oval Office.
  11. Al Gore’s poll numbers in 2000 were pre-reminiscent of McCain’s in 2008.
  12. A Gerald Ford foreign-policy-type observation cinched the noose around his campaign.
  13. We were warned years ago about fluoride being put in water with the intent of making the American populace meek, mellow, gullible, and ripe for overthrow.

Do you think I remember? Or not?

Yahoo! Slurp and Me

They helped cause a spike on this site that led to my host suspending the domain.

After at least 30 hours of being suspended, I was allowed to bring the domain back online. Since then, I’ve been monitoring its bandwidth consumption. And particularly watching two bots: Googlebot and Yahoo! Slurp.

I also set up robots.txt to severely restrict bot access to this domain.

Googlebot is behaving; Slurp appears not to be.
