Twins!

BBC reports:

Their mother, Nicole, was told to prepare for the worst when it was decided the best option would be for her to deliver the boys in the 29th week of her pregnancy.

Nicole and her husband Todd, who conceived through IVF, said their first weeks of parenthood had been nerve-racking.

Mrs Ryman said: “We’ve been on top of the world because we didn’t think we were going to have them both.

“We’ve had a few scares on the way but they are pretty well going forward now and I know I’m going to be able to take them both home.”

She is expected to take Byron home at the end of next week. Lincoln will stay in the hospital’s newborn intensive care unit for another month.

Dr Parag Misha, who has been looking after the twins, said about Lincoln: “The chance of survival I gave him was less than 30% because he was so small.

“Hopefully he will soon start gaining weight much more quickly and get nearer and nearer his brother.”

How human (the child version) to say something that wipes out or bombs and later say it was “Just a joke.”

Most recently, Crowe’s comments about limiting toilet paper use to one square per incident, with allowance made for 2-3 squares for the “pesky” times.

Then there was McCain’s “bomb, bomb, bomb Iran” thing.

Seems like Kerry launched a botched joke once upon a recent time.

I could almost imagine having heard Imus said his infamous line was in this category.

Melissa Busekros — Happy Birthday!

Homeschooler flees Germany’s state custody

Melissa Busekros, the schoolgirl taken by police and placed in a psychiatric hospital because she was diagnosed with a “school phobia” and was being homeschooled, has fled state custody to make a midnight trip back to her own family, according to Joel Thornton, president of The International Human Rights Group.

“At 3 a.m., in Erlangen, Germany, Melissa reached her home to the surprise of her entire family,” Thornton told WND. “Earlier in the morning Melissa left a note with the foster family where she was being held and began the journey to her family. She left of her own volition.”

Thornton said April 23 is Melissa’s birthday, and on turning 16, “this gives her broader rights than it does in America. It gives her more of a voice in her own custody. So, she decided to return home.”

Headline Hilarity

I use hilarity only because I couldn’t think of a better word beginning with h.

Anyway, sometimes I get a kick out of headlines. Other times, they make me scratch my cranium. And at times, they make me sigh or roll my eyes.

So . . . these were the first headlines I saw two mornings ago on April 17:

#1Questions remain, huh? No kidding.

#3 — In the PR campaign, you wouldn’t expect the Al-Qaeda to say Iraq is the “morgue of terror” would you?

#6Needlessly??!! Are there any children (poor or otherwise) that are needfully ravaged by AIDS or any other disease?

Oh well. I’m sure I would write some strange headlines also. 🙂

Above all, love God!
