Ella Boss died a week ago today:
I met another what-adjective-do-I-use-now sunrise.
Spectacular, stunning, fabulous, amazing, pretty, awe-inspiring — they all fit while at the same time falling short of conveying exactly what I witnessed.
So I hauled out my cheap-o, vintage cellphone and took a post-it-to-Facebook shot…and waxed somewhat poetic in my message: Read it all
In one, a quote selected by my sister-in-law, in her own handwriting, on last year’s Christmas-gift calendar.
In another, a double perspective on aging.
In the third, a grit-level distraction for the owner.
In the last, a worm I missed at the time, being so focused on the little mushrooms! Read it all
I’m to teach our men’s Sunday School class on December 25.
The lesson title is “The Saviour Is Born” (Luke 2:1-20).
So I’ve jotted down a few questions in my teacher book:
I have my first-of-the-day Web routine — inspirational, banking, Yahoo! News, Drudge, a blog or two, Facebook, a forum or two, email (>5 accounts), and so forth.
Some I do with careful focus (inspirational and banking, for instance).
Mostly, though, it’s about distractedly scanning SubjectLines and HeadLines.
