Let me see what examples I can recall . . . .

Christian leaders must be unmarried. Baptism can be only one certain way. Committed, monogamous homesexual relationships are OK. Only bishops can serve Communion.

I can see easily enough that such addition is bad addition. But I wonder if there are any “smaller” and more personal examples.

I’m thinking of things I wouldn’t necessarily teach but which I might excuse in my life.

Examples? Disobedience is no problem if the misdeed is “small” enough. I don’t have to honor someone in authority if he behaves dishonorably. Laying up certain earthly treasures doesn’t matter. An unforgiving spirit isn’t always unsafe.
