Juli’s Grandpa’s Favorite Homemade Yogurt

Actually, I don't know that to be true. I haven't tried it yet.

I think even I could make this yogurt… 😯

  1. Half gallon milk in a covered crockpot on low for 2.5 hours.
  2. Turn off cooking machine and let it all sit (still covered) for 3 hours.
  3. Whisk in 1 cup of plain yogurt. (Uncover first, of course.)
  4. Recover (as in, put the lid back on the crockpot) and then wrap the whole thing in a large towel and leave thusly for 8 hours.
  5. Done.

Sauté That SPAM!

And cook up some fajitas!

Here are the instructions:

Spray large nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Heat skillet over medium-high heat.

Add green pepper and onion; sauté 2 minutes.

Add SPAM®; sauté 2 minutes.

Stir in CHI-CHI’S® Salsa and heat thoroughly.

Spoon about 1/2 cup SPAMâ„¢ mixture onto each flour tortilla.

Top each with 1/4 cup lettuce, 1 tablespoon cheese, 1 tablespoon yogurt and salsa, if desired.

Yeah, I know you’ll need a better list of ingredients for this SPAM Fajitas recipe.

No, I haven’t tried it.

Ice in Coffee

I like my Nescafé Clásico hot, with a slosh of milk added for my innards’ sake (and to soften the coffee flavor down to my ET — Enjoyability Threshold).

But this afternoon — since it’s plenty warm about — I impulsively decided to make myself some iced coffee.
